Announcement: Americana MusicFest

Location: Paramount Ranch, Agoura, CA
The Americana MusicFest is another in a long list of Kiwanis programs designed to educate, benefit and empower the youth of America. The first annual event will be at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, California on October 3, 2010.

The major goal of this event is to expose young people to the forms of music that have grown and developed in America since the first immigrants began to arrive with all the trappings of their old countries. The major theme will be acoustic music and no electrified instruments will be permitted.

Featured genres will include, but not be strictly limited to:

Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Cajun, Traditional, Old-Time, Celtic, Gypsy, Blues, New-grass, Barbershop, Native American, Alt-country and Roots music of various forms.
